Mercian Sword

Referenced from reality, with a few original twists, this migration era sword conforms in some ways to Saxon style swordmaking. It has a simple engraving on the middle ring of an owl. The distinctive 'sandwiched' guard and pommel are riveted together layers of gold and the same dark wood used in the grip.
